Meet our West Carter High School crew!
Our manager Bonnie and her amazing staff: Clara, Ericka, Wanda, Judy, Edna, and Tammy (not pictured) are always serving up smiles and delicious meals for our Comets at WCHS!
We are so thankful for this awesome team and all they do!
Join me in thanking them for their hard work!

Update for school on 12/18/25

A message from CCBOE:
Carter County Schools will have NTI Day #5 tomorrow. There are still too many roads and turnarounds that buses travel that are snow and ice covered. There was not enough sun or warmer temperatures today to have any significant melting. Please follow school and teacher instructions for NTI assignments.

An update from Athletic Director Erik Kouns:
Boys game vs Boyd canceled for tonight (12/15/25).

An update from Dr. Fraley:
Carter County Schools will have NTI Day #3 tomorrow, December 15, 2025. While main roads are in pretty good shape, side roads are not. Extreme temperatures contribute to this decision. We will always do what is safest for our students and staff. When it is possible to make this decision early, we will do so to allow for planning and child care arrangements but the decision is not always as clear cut as today's. Thank you for your understanding. Be sure to follow your school's and teacher's directions for NTI work and communication. Please be safe and stay warm.

A note from our WCHS Robotics team:
The West Carter Robot Gladiator Team brought home some hardware today! 🏆 While our scheduled opponent had to forfeit due to weather, our team still hit the arena and picked up an exhibition game to make the most of the day. Proud of their flexibility, sportsmanship, and effort!
