Prichard Elementary

It's that time of year! Our Kindergarten registration will be on Thursday, April 23rd from 1-6pm. Packets will be available to fill out at this time, and Kindergarten teachers will be present to meet kiddos! If your student currently attends Prichard Elementary as a preschooler, you will NOT need to enroll them. Those students will be carried over to Kindergarten. We will need an updated packet for them on file, though. If you are unable to make this time, packets are available in the front office to pick up Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:00pm. Online registration will open up sometime in May. ALL students will need to fill out the online registration form on our Carter County Schools website. Assistance will be available if you need help filling this out. If there are any questions, please call us at 606/474-6696, ext. 24000.

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS! As you know, beginning Monday, February 23, the school day will be extended by 20 minutes in order to make up days. For afternoon dismissal: - As we do daily, cars for pickup will not be allowed to move around the school building until all buses have arrived. - Students will begin loading buses at approximately 3:15 PM, and buses will depart around 3:20 PM. - Car riders will begin loading at approximately 3:20 PM, after buses have cleared the lot. We strongly advise parents/guardians picking up students to arrive at Prichard 20 minutes later than your current arrival time. Arriving at the usual time may create a safety concern on US 60 due to increased traffic congestion. We already experience backups when buses run a few minutes behind schedule, and this change may result in much longer delays. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in helping us keep dismissal safe and efficient for all students.
